Sacha van Mil's installation I walk in order to know I exist explores the complex relationship between daydreaming and reality. As a photographer, Sacha uses black and white analog photography to capture the emotional duality of daydreaming, from the liberating feeling of escapism to the unsettling experience of losing oneself in thought. I contributed to the project by creating a soundscape that complements the visual elements of the installation. The soundscape is designed to evoke the feeling of being lost in thought, with ambient sounds and field recordings that create a sense of unease and disorientation. By combining visual and auditory elements, the installation offers a multi-sensory experience that invites the viewer to reflect on their own relationship with daydreaming.
